- Criminal records and rap sheets: use Pennsylvania State Police PATCH for a public certificate or PSP Access and Review for your own complete repository record
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: call Armstrong County Jail, 171 Staley's Court Road, Kittanning, PA 16201, at 724-545-9222; administration hours are weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Official background checks: order the appropriate product directly from the Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Expungement or Clean Slate questions: begin with the court that handled the case and use the docket number to identify the correct file
Armstrong County does not advertise a separate Sheriff's records division. The Sheriff's Office is at 500 East Market Street, Suite 106, Kittanning, PA 16201, 724-548-3265, within the courthouse complex whose standard weekday hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Contact it for sheriff-held warrant-service, transport, and courthouse-security material, but not for every borough or PSP incident report. County administrative requests route through the Armstrong County Open Records Officer under the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law.
