Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of content on Armstrong County Criminal History. Continuing to use the website means that you accept them. If you disagree with any condition, do not use the site.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no connection to Armstrong County, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or another government body. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a service intended for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). It is a records-reference resource, not a private-investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent private reference site. It neither stores government criminal records nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or submits documents for a user.

Its purpose is to identify official Armstrong County and Pennsylvania sources, including the courts, Sheriff and jail, Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository, and PSP Megan's Law Website, while also linking to separately operated search tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Use automated bots or scrapers against the pages
  • Stalk, threaten, or harass anyone with information found here
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
  • Use the content for housing, employment, lending, or insurance decisions
  • Interfere with site performance or another person's access
  • Violate federal, Pennsylvania, or local law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use site content or a linked tool to intimidate, stalk, threaten, harass, or discriminate against another person. Pennsylvania places particular limits on misuse of PSP Megan's Law Website information, and conduct directed at a registrant can carry criminal consequences. Registry publication supports lawful safety awareness, not vigilantism or discriminatory blacklisting. Public access elsewhere remains subject to the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law, 65 P.S. §§ 67.101 et seq., and criminal-history dissemination limits under 18 Pa.C.S. § 9121.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create credit reports, background checks, or any other consumer report. Our content and linked tools may not be used to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally permissible check for one of those purposes must come from the Pennsylvania State Police or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA, as applicable.

5. No Legal Advice

The website provides general information, not legal advice. Only a licensed Pennsylvania attorney can advise how a warrant, charge, conviction, Clean Slate restriction, or expungement rule applies to particular facts.

6. No Warranties

All content is supplied "as is." We make no promise that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dispositions, expungements, and limited-access orders can change a record. Gaps and delays may occur, and no page should be treated as an official statement from a court, PSP, the Sheriff, or another government office.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

A link may lead to an Armstrong County office, Pennsylvania agency, court portal, legal-aid organization, or commercial service that we do not control. We are not responsible for its availability, content, fees, or data practices. Review the destination's own terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Armstrong County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required to copy, distribute, alter, or create derivative works from that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from use of the website, including reliance on content here or on a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your site use or violation of these terms, including associated legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Pennsylvania law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from use of the website must be brought in a court located in Pennsylvania.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A revision takes effect when the updated language is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or terminated at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be modified only as far as necessary to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be submitted through the Contact page.
